The T.Rex creates a new standard and provides a complete solution to exit detection and door surveillance for access control applications. A PIR detector automatically senses when someone approaches the door and unlocks it without any prior knowledge necessary to exit the location. A better alternative to standard request to exoit pushbuttons. Outstanding innovations such as X-Y Targeting™ and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) implementation make the T.Rex the fastest and most reliable exit detector on the market. X-Y Targeting targets a specific area of detection. While some exit detectors on the market offer adjustments of the detection pattern with masking or horizontal alignment, the T.Rex is the first detector to offer vertical detection targeting using two adjustable louvers located in the detection chamber. The installer "trims" the detection area by adjusting these louvers from 90° down to 5°. Horizontal adjustment is provided by rotation of the lens. 12-28VDC power required. 1A SPDT relay contacts should be buffered with an isolation relay (see below). | ||

The Altronix RB5 is strongly recommended for use will keypads, intercoms, maglocks etc. . Electric locks, magnetic locks, gate openers and garage openers all create a small surge when they energise. This surge is backfed to the contacts inside the controller and can cause them to fail prematurely. This isolation relay provides a heavy duty set of contacts that protect the controller's internal components and extend the life of the device. Requires 12VDC to operate and can be powered by the same power supply as the lock provided the amperage is sufficient. Small enough to fit inside of a deep single gang electrical box or mount as needed with the adhesive pads included. The RB5 has 5A DPDT contacts. Coil draws 120mA. 12 or 6VDC selectable. | ||

The Ditek DTK-ESS is a transorb (transient absorber) that is designed to protect the relays and sensitive electronics of an access control system from the "electrical spike" that occurs every time and mag lock or electric strike locks or unlocks. Connect one unit across the conductors near the lock and connect the other directly to the terminals of the access control device or panel. Prevents premature burnout of the relay contacts. Recommended for all systems that include electric locks of any kind. Works with 12 or 24 volt AC or DC systems. Does the same function as the RB5 above only easier to use and install. Not polarity sensitive. Package of two. | ||
