THE
CAMERAS:
This is one
of the best performing infrared camera in the
lower price range that we have ever tested (and we have tested
100's of IR cameras!). Incorporating "thru lens" technology,
this design effectively eliminates the IR white out conditions that are
commonplace with mid and long range infrared cameras. This not only dramatically
reduces this fogged look of the nightime image, but increases image contrast
and sharpness overall. We tested this camera in 6 different real life
applications and it yielded the best of all results to date. We measured
an effective range of 65' delivered by its
35 LEDs with minimal IR illumination dropoff in the corners (lens AOV-45
deg.). These LEDs are photocell controlled for longer life and efficient
power consumption. Even with subjects at a close in range (less than 5'
away), this camera rendered the image properly with good detail. Virtually
all other IR cameras will "wash out" these details at this close
in distance. The Telpix 2328 utilizes a high performance Sony™ CCD
sensor and is fully weatherproof. It includes
a detachable sun shade and a swivel mount for wall, ceiling or pedestal
